Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Gorilla Forest
We will set off for a scening drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park with lunck in Mbarara and continue to the park through Kabale town also known as "the Switzerland of Africa". Reach late evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking & community walk
After breakfast you will assemble at the park headquarters for briefing by the park rangers about the dos and donts while with the gorillas. Continue for the memorable activity in an evergreen forest that may take 2-8 hours depending on the movement of the primates. Meet and stay with the animals for a maximum of one hour, then descend to your lodge for relaxation. You may then go for a community walk to the batwa where you will enjou their cultural dances plus stories of their unique culture.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
In the morning after breakfast, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, lunch at Mweya safari lodge and in the afernoon, have a launch drive along the kazinga channel that gives good views of hippos, crocodiles, buffalos, and birds like African fish eagle, king fisher, herons, blue turaco and many more.
Day 4: Morning game drive & Chimpanzee tracking
Have a cup of tea and then go for an early morning game drive in search for lions, buffalos, elephants among others, and return at the lodge for breakfast and relaxation as you wait for lunch. After lunch report at the park headquarters for briefing and afterwards descend into the gorge for chimpanzee tracking that also rewards sightings of other primates like the vervet monkeys, red colobus monkeys, baboons among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer to Kampala
Early morning, you will have your breakfast and then transfe to Kampala with lunch en route and photography at the equator, reaching in the afternoon to your hotel or transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
