3 DAYS LAKE MBURO - Overview

The park has a variety of animals such as zebra, hippopotamus, impala, warthog, common eland, African buffalo, jackal, African leopard, and over three hundred (300) bird species. At 260 square kilometres (100 sq mi), the park is the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks. The park has camp grounds and permanent tent facilities for visitors. In 2009, the Uganda Wildlife Authority, which manages the park announced plans to introduce balloon tourism in the park.

Since 2005, the protected area is considered a Lion Conservation Unit.

Day by day

Day 1: Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park

On your arrival, our company representative will pick you up from the airport for a transfer to Lake Mburo National Park located in Western Uganda. You will have a stopover at the Equator for photography.

Day 2: Full day tour activities in Lake Mburo National Park

After a cup of coffee, enjoy a morning game drive where you will explore the various wild life with in the park including, Topi, Zebras, Sitatunga Antelope, Impalas, spotted Hyenas, Leopards, Buffalos and many more. Return for a late breakfast. After lunch, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Mburo offering good views of the crocodiles, hippos and a number of water birds among others.

Day 3: Return to Kampala

After breakfast, dedicate half this day for a visit to Rubanga forest for a Nature walk. This will reward you a variety of primate species like the olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, as well as bird species like the sun birds, herons, doves among others. After wards you will have a quick check out at your lodge and then transfer back to Kampala or proceed for your flight at the airport.
